Hall County Sheriff's Office Releases Grant Activity Report
As previously released to the media, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office had been awarded $4461.13 from NDOT to work overtime enforcement from July 27th through August 9th for the “Speeding High Visibility Enforcement” grant. During this grant, deputies worked 64 hours of selective enforcement on overtime which resulted in the following activity:
-49 citations for speeding
- 2 DUI arrests
- 2 citations for MIP
-1 citation for open container
- 1 citation for use of handheld wireless communication device
- 3 citations for failure to maintain lane
- 2 citations for misuse of a learner’s permit
- 4 DDS arrests
- 1 citation for expired registration
- 2 citations for uncovered load
- 4 citations for stop sign/light
- 6 citations for no valid registration
- 1 citation for driving left of center
- 2 citations for No operator’s license
- 1 citation for no insurance
- 1 citation for possession of drug paraphernalia
- 2 arrests for Fail to submit to a preliminary breath test/chemical test
- 1 citation for failure to use turn signal
