Haney Signs With Hastings College Football

(Grand Island, NE) - Grand Island Central Catholic senior Connor Haney signed with Hastings College football on Thursday, February 5th. 

As an athlete at GICC, Connor has been a four-year letterwinner in football. On defense, Connor completed 222 total tackles and 7 interceptions. Over the course of his high school career as a receiver, Connor hauled in 105 receptions for 1927 yards and 22 touchdowns. Those numbers have earned him the school record for career receiving yards and career receiving touchdowns.

In his senior season, he also set the single-season receiving yards record with 937 yards. Following his senior season, he was recognized as a member of the All Heartland Super Squad and as a Class C-2 All-State receiver. Connor also received an invitation to compete in the 2026 Nebraska Shrine Bowl this summer.
