Hastings Code Conversation Set for Thursday

The City of Hastings Development Services Department invites the public to grab a slice of pizza and learn about proposed zoning changes.

Development Services Director Kevin Kubo and City Planner Ember Batelaan will facilitate Code Conversation, a free public meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday May 14 in Hastings Public Library Meeting A, 314 N. Denver Ave. Pizza will be provided. 

The proposed zoning changes are intended to help city growth, as well as address legal issues, and provide consistency and clarity within the city’s zoning code.

This meeting is the latest step in a year-long process for the City of Hastings rewrite of Chapter 54 of the Municipal Code, which addresses zoning. Public Engagement is an important part of the rewrite process.
