Hastings Community Arts Council to Host Free Pop-Up Art Gallery in Historic Schnase 1906 District
HASTINGS, Neb. — The Hastings Community Arts Council will host a free, juried Pop-Up Art Gallery May 15–17 in the historic Schnase 1906 District, offering the community a vibrant new way to experience local and regional art.
The three-day exhibition will celebrate creativity across the Hastings region, featuring selected works from artists throughout the area. Designed as both an art showcase and a community gathering, the Pop-Up Art Gallery will highlight the talent, connection, and cultural energy helping shape Hastings today.
The event will open with a welcome reception on Thursday, May 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. The reception will include wine and snacks provided by The Cheese and Wine Shop, live music from local artist, Emily Dunbar, and the opportunity for guests to meet participating artists and talk with them about their work.
In addition to viewing the exhibition, attendees will have the chance to meet members of the Hastings Community Arts Council Board and learn more about future projects, upcoming opportunities, and the exciting momentum building around the arts in Hastings.
“This event is about more than putting art on the wall,” said Adam Jacobs, President of the Hastings Community Arts Council. “It’s about creating space for artists and community members to connect, celebrate local creativity, and imagine what’s possible for the future of the arts in Hastings.”
