High Heat Indexes expected

Dangerous heat is possible across southern portions of the area Monday through Thursday. Tuesday and Wednesday look to be the hottest days with heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees possible across the entire area. A heat advisory is in effect for southern portions of the area on Monday, and an excessive heat watch is in effect from 1pm Tuesday through 8pm Wednesday. 

If thunderstorms can develop this evening, a few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. The main concerns will be for damaging wind gusts and hail to the size of quarters. The main time frame of concern is 5pm to 10pm.
