High Wind Warning, Snow, and Critical Fire Weather possible Today

Key messages: A High Wind Warning is in effect until 6pm. Northwest winds of 30-40mph, with gusts of 50-60mph are possible across the area today, strongest for areas along and west of Highway 281 in the High Wind Warning. 

Snow showers are possible for central and northeastern portions of the area today. Snow falling combined with strong/gusty winds could result in squall-like conditions. Rapid changes in visibility are possible over a short distance. Widespread accumulations are not expected but a quick dusting to 1" of snow are possible in snow showers. 

Critical fire weather conditions are possible for areas mainly along and west of Highway 183 due to the combination of strong/gusty winds and relative humidity values of 25-30%. 

Wind Chill values of -10 to -20 degrees are possible Saturday morning in Nebraska.
