Hope Harbor Announces Kendra Lutz as new Operational Executive Director

Grand Island, NE – Hope Harbor is pleased to announce the appointment of Kendra Lutz as its new Operational Executive Director.

Kendra brings extensive leadership experience in human services, philanthropy, nonprofit development, and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has worked to strengthen communities, build partnerships, and create opportunities for individuals and families across Central Nebraska. 

Kendra began her career with Central Nebraska Youth Services, where she worked directly with youth and families before advancing to Assistant Program Director. In that role, she led the development of the Juvenile Services Community Plan for Merrick, Polk, Hamilton, and Nance counties while collaborating with schools, courts, law enforcement agencies, and community partners throughout the region.

She later joined the Greater Grand Island Community Foundation as Program Officer, overseeing grantmaking and scholarship programs while working closely with donors, nonprofits, and community leaders. Most recently Kendra served as Development Officer for Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska, where she cultivated relationships with donors, corporate partners, foundations, and community stakeholders to help expand opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment and independence.

Kendra attended Doane University and Southeast Community College and is a graduate of Hall County Leadership Tomorrow Class 38. She has been recognized as a Grand Island Top 35 Under 35 recipient and remains actively involved in professional and community organizations throughout the region.

Hope Harbor provides shelter, housing assistance, community support services, and resources to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability throughout Central Nebraska.
