The No. 3 Nebraska softball team completed a sweep of the Penn State Nittany Lions with a 13-5 victory on Sunday afternoon in University Park, Pa.

The Huskers finished the 2026 regular season with a 43-6 record, good for a program-best .878 regular-season win percentage. NU also posted a 23-1 Big Ten record, which ties the Big Ten record for conference wins in a season, not counting the 2021 season, as all games were played in-conference due to COVID-19.

Jordy Frahm led the balanced Husker offense, going 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI. Hannah Coor, Jesse Farrell and Kacie Hoffmann each contributed two hits, while Ava Kuszak, Alexis Jensen and Lauren Camenzind accounted for two RBI apiece. Farrell added a double and a homer and Jensen hit a home run. Kuszak and L. Camenzind each knocked a double. As a team, NU logged 15 hits.

Kylee Magee grabbed the start and went three innings and allowed three runs on four hits. Alexis Jensen (21-2) threw four innings in relief and grabbed the win after allowing two runs on five hits and striking out four.

Frahm and Coor hit back-to-back singles to open the game and Frahm scored on a Nittany Lion error. H. Camenzind reached first on a fielder’s choice and stole second before she and Coor went home on a Kuszak double to give NU a 3-0 lead.

In the top of the third, Farrell hit a leadoff homer before Cope and Hoffmann followed up with a single apiece. Katelyn Caneda pinch ran for Cope and Skarlett Jones ran for Hoffmann and a Nittany Lion error sent Bland to first to load the bases. L. Camenzind doubled to score Caneda and Jones. A Frahm sac fly to right field scored Bland and a Coor single sent L. Camenzind across the plate and extended the lead to 8-0.

Penn State knocked a three-run shot to cut the lead to 8-3 in the bottom of the third.

Farrell doubled in the top of the fourth and scored on a Hoffmann single to make the advantage 9-3 before PSU added another run to bring it back to 9-4.

In the top of the fifth, Frahm hit a solo home run to give NU a 10-4 lead.

Farrell drew a walk in the top of the sixth and Jensen knocked a two-run home run to make the score 12-4.

The Nittany Lions hit a two-out home run in the bottom of the sixth to extend the game to seven innings.

Frahm hit her second home run of the day to give NU a 13-5 lead going into the bottom of the seventh.

The Huskers will head to College Park, Md., for the 2026 Big Ten Softball Tournament presented by Allstate from May 6-9. NU earned a first-round bye and the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will play its first game on Thursday, May 7. The bracket will be revealed after all regular-season games are finished today. All updated schedule information will be posted on the softball schedule page.
