Kavan and Lewis take down school records in Central City

A pair of Wildcat Track and Fieldsters took down the school record in their respected events yesterday at Central City's Track Invite at Preferred Popcorn Field.
Senior Brecken Kavan took down a 10 year record held by Taylor Wroblewski in the Men's Pole Vault that was established at 2015 B5 District Championship. Wroblewski soared at the time to a Height 12' 11" while Kavan broke the mark by 3" hitting at 13'2" helping Kavan place 3rd at the CC Invite.
Sophomore Zaya Lewis took down the 100m Hurdle record set in 2006 by Ashley Hall with a time of 15.45 seconds giving Lewis 2nd place at the Invite just ahead of teammate Kyndel Sack who finished with a time of 16.26 seconds.
This marks the 2nd school record Lewis has broken taking the 300m Hurdle mark with a time of 47.16 that she set earlier this year at Arcadia/Loup City's Invite
The Cats will be back in action Thursday 4/24 at Gibbon.
