LB1159 and LB1203 Come Before Legislative Hearings

Hastings senator Dan Lonowski brought LB 1159 before the  Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee Wednesday . It would change the Nebraska Hall of Fame requirements to specifically allow Tom Osborne to be inducted. Current rules allow a person to be inducted only after the individual has been dead for at least 35 years. Read more from the Unicameral Update here.

Kearney Senator Stan Clouse presented  LB1203 before the  Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. LB1203 promotes efficient county administration by establishing statutory procedures for tracking and voiding unclaimed checks, and by clarifying that unclaimed checks under $100 are excluded from the Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property Act.
