Mader Signs With York College Baseball

(Grand Island, NE) - Northwest graduate Zachary Mader signed with York College baseball on Friday. Mader has had quite the journey in his athletic playing days during high school. Two different times injuries during football knocked him out from the season. Most recently on senior night this past fall Mader tore his ACL. He then rehabbed to get back to taking reps for spring season baseball for Grand Island Senior High. This summer he now plays for the Grand Island Home Federal Senior American Legion Baseball team. Mader pitched the last three innings this past Wednesday night in a game one win at Norfolk 12-4. He tossed 40 pitches in the game and gave up six hits and two runs in the outing. Mader plans to major in ag business.
