Missing inmate arrested
June 2, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) – An inmate who went missing from the Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) has been arrested by the Lincoln Police Department. Amanda Eckmann #393483 was taken into custody today and booked into the Lancaster County Jail.
Eckmann went missing on June 1, 2026, when she did not return to CCC-L from a job seek furlough and her electronic monitoring device was found in north Lincoln. Her sentence began on July 24, 2024. She was sentenced to two years and six months to six years and 12 months for criminal possession of four or more financial transaction devices and possession of a controlled substance.
CCC-L is one of two community custody facilities operated by NDCS. Community custody is the lowest custody level and the least restrictive facility. Inmates are allowed to participate in work opportunities, attend school and religious services with prior approval and without direct supervision.
