NEBFARMPAC Endorses Michaela Conway for Nebraska State Board of Education
LINCOLN, NE - Nebraska Farmers Union’s Political Action Committee, NEBFARMPAC, announced its unanimous and enthusiastic endorsement of Michaela Conway for election to State Board of Education District 5 (southeast NE) which includes Butler, Clay, Fillmore, Franklin, Gage, Hamilton, Jefferson, Nuckolls, Pawnee, Polk, Richardson, Saline, Saunders, Seward, Thayer, Webster and York Counties and part of Lancaster County.
Vern Jantzen of Plymouth, NEBFARMPAC President said, "Michaela Conway earned NEBFARMPAC’s endorsement from her experience serving on the Crete Public Schools Board of Education. We appreciate her experience with and commitment to education. Her campaign, run under the tagline “A Smarter Way Forward,” centers on priorities that align closely with the interests of Nebraska Farmers Union. We think Michaela will hit the ground running on Day 1 of her tenure on the State Board of Education.”
Her top campaign issues align with Nebraska Farmers Union’s members and all family farmers and ranchers as she advocates for fair and sustainable funding for rural schools, respect for local control, and strong career and technical education, including agricultural education and hands-on pathways that prepare Nebraska students for the workforce and keep talent rooted in their home communities.
“In rural Nebraska, schools are the heart of the communities they serve, and our families deserve a State Board that listens to their needs and advocates for them. I’m honored to have NEBFARMPAC’s support, and I’ll carry the priorities of rural Nebraska with me to every conversation at the state level,” Michaela Conway said in response to her NEBFARMPAC endorsement.
NEBFARMPAC Secretary John Hansen said, “Our Board believes Michaela’s background in education and her advanced degree, her career in systems and operations leadership, and being a mother of five children make her a well-suited addition to the State Board. We enthusiastically encourage the voters of District 5 to send Michaela Conway to the State Board of Education. She is well-qualified to represent both the rural and urban parts of the district and will be a great fit.”
