Nebraska State Fair Announces 2026 Theme: “It All Happens Here”

The Nebraska State Fair has officially unveiled its 2026 theme: “It All Happens Here.” The theme celebrates the one-of-a-kind experiences, traditions, people, and moments that make the Fair a true showcase of Nebraska pride.

Event organizers say the theme celebrates funnel cakes for breakfast and blue-ribbon emotions, carnival selfies, national concerts under the stars, and hands-on agricultural learning.

“The Fair is where youth show animals they’ve raised from infancy, where grandparents share stories of their time exhibiting, and where families can pack in tons of entertainment and experiences as they round out their summer bucket lists,” said Courtney Glock, Nebraska State Fair Marketing Director. “It All Happens Here really feels like an all-encompassing recognition of the moments, both big and small, that guests tell us they look forward to all year long.”

The 2026 Fair will continue its tradition of blending agriculture, education, and entertainment into a jam-packed 11-day event.

Glock says the Fair has also joined the nationwide America 250 celebration, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States. She says the Fair will proudly incorporate expanded patriotic elements throughout the event, including enhanced red-white-and-blue décor, additional flag displays across the grounds, special historical and educational exhibits, and an elevated Veterans Day celebration honoring those who have served.

“We’ve been working closely with other state fairs across the nation, as well as communicating with officials in Washington, D.C. to capitalize on this American celebration,” said Glock. “You’ll see our theme carry beyond Nebraska, to the larger national celebration and show that it really does all happens here… right in the center of the country… in Nebraska and at the Nebraska State Fair.”

The Nebraska State Fair will run August 28 – September 7, 2026, at Fonner Park in Grand Island.
