New Heartland United Way $50K Giveaway announced

The Heartland United Way is ringing in the holidays as we ask our community to believe in the magic of giving.

Every year people in Hall, Hamilton, Howard & Merrick Counties turn their gift to the Heartland United Way into opportunities for kids, financial security for families, and healthier communities through our annual campaign. United is the way we create this magic. It’s how we turn each person’s gift into meaningful change.

In 2025, those who donate at least $312, or $6 a week, will qualify for an entry into the Heartland United Way $50K Giveaway thanks to a generous gift from Campaign Chairs Kent and Tonja Brown.

“We’ve always given our time and resources to support the Heartland United Way and its agencies that mean so much to us. As campaign chairs, we felt this was a great opportunity to give big.  We’ve been so blessed by this community, and it was time to give back. We believe that United Is The Way—and we hope our gift inspires others to unite and give too,” said Kent and Tonja.

Starting November 24th, the Heartland United Way will begin randomly selecting names from those who have entered the drawing to be the 24 silver bell winners. Bell winners will be announced on the Heartland United Way’s Facebook page, KRGI’s 1430 AM radio show and Local4 Midday.

The 25th bell winner will be drawn during our $50K Giveaway at Raising Nebraska from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on December 16th. The public is invited to attend and prize winners must be present to win. Of those 25 bell winners, three will ring in the new year with one of three cash prizes: $5,000, $15,000, and $30,000.

The $50K Giveaway continues a spirit of generosity established by Tom and Kim Dinsdale during the 25 Keys of Christmas. The Heartland United Way is forever grateful for the Dinsdale’s generous philanthropy. We wish Tom well in his retirement.
