Northwest Girls Bowling Advances To State Championship Match

(Lincoln, NE) - The Northwest girl's bowling team will be in the runnings for a state title tonight (Tuesday, February 11th) as the Vikings will take on Elkhorn at 7:00 pm in the girl's Class B state bowling championship match at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln.
The Vikings in bracket two of team tournament play would get a first-round win over Humphrey-Lindsay 3-0. Northwest would then fall in the second round to Wayne 3-0. Going forward it would be survival mode for the black and gold in the double-elimination bracket.
Northwest would fight back to defeat Humphrey-Lindsay 3-1 and then face Wayne having to defeat the Blue Devils twice if the Vikings wanted to advance to the state title match. It was game on! Northwest would defeat Wayne 3-0 in the first match of the bracket final and then turn around and defeat Wayne a second time 3-1 to advance to the title match.
Elkhorn advanced to the title match defeating Lexington 3-1 in the bracket one winner-take-all all final.
