Northwest Girls Win Class B State Bowling Championship

(Lincoln, NE) - The Northwest girl's bowling team defeated Elkhorn 3-2 on Tuesday night at Sun Valley Lanes & Games to claim the first-ever bowling state championship for the Vikings.

Northwest earlier in the day would have to bounce back in the elimination side of the bracket after an early loss to Wayne to then come back and defeat Wayne twice in the bracket final round. Northwest would win 3-0 to give the Blue Devils their first loss of the tournament. Northwest would then knock out the four-time defending state champions 3-1 to advance to the state title match with Elkhorn.
