Northwest Runs Away From Lexington, 48-14

(Lexington, NE) - The Northwest Viking football team would win its 2nd game of the season Friday night, defeating the Lexington Minutemen 48-14.
The Vikings would get a 1st quarter touchdown catch from James Burhman and a 2nd quarter 30 yard TD snag from Brock Ostdiek, along with a TD run from Zane Harb to take a 21-0 lead with under four minutes to play in the 2nd quarter. Lexington would score twice before half to make it a 21-14 lead for the Vikings.
Northwest would then hit the gas in the 3rd quarter, getting a Caejon Suttles touchdown run, then a Bryson Walker 34-yard field goal, followed by another Suttles touchdown to make it 38-14 Northwest.
Blake Wissing would score the final touchdown in the fourth quarter, rushing it in from 26 yards out.
Lexington with the loss drops to 1-2 and will host Plattsmouth next Friday. Northwest at 2-1 will hit the road to Bennington next Friday night. Pump & Pantry Pregame Show starts at 6:30 pm on 103.1 FM.
