Northwest SB Run-Rules GICC 9-1

The Northwest Softball team earned its ninth straight win, 9-1 in five innings over GICC. The Vikings scored four in the first and two in the second to take command.

Gracelyn Simmons fired a two hitter and struck out nine. She also homered and doubled at the plate. 

Four other Vikings had multiple hits as part of the 11-hit attack. Naleah Baier went 2-4, doubled, knocked in two and scored a run. Becca Dinkelman was 2-3 with a double and two RBI. Lauren Jones had two hits, including a double and knocked in a pair. Harper Wissing was 2-3 with a run scored.

Viking Coach Pete Theoharis spoke after the game on 97.3 the Wolf. 

The Vikings earned more national notoriety. The 2025 team had the second highest GPA in the country according to the National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association with 18 Scholar All-Americans.

Paige Dvorak had her first triple of the year for GICC. Eva Tibbetts knocked home Morgan Watts for the only run.
