NWPS: Two Confirmed Cases of Whooping Cough
(Grand Island, NE) - On Monday evening Northwest Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Edwards informed patrons of two confirmed cases of pertussis (whooping cough) within Cedar Hollow and Northwest High School. Below is the letter that was sent out by Northwest Public Schools along with an information sheet from the Central District Health Department.
NWPS Families:
We were notified by the Central District Health Department this afternoon that we have a couple of students (One at Cedar Hollow and one at the High School), that have been diagnosed with pertussis (whooping cough). As a precaution, we are sending the attached letter below to all families in the Northwest District. Please review the letter and if you have specific questions, please contact your health care provider or the Central District Health Department.
