Grand Island, Neb. — This year, kids can write letters to Santa before meeting him in person at the Grand Island Public Library. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, kids can write letters to Santa at the library and receive a personalized response. Pick up a sheet of special Santa stationery at the library
Children’s Desk and drop your letter in the special Santa mailbox. Santa will respond within one week, and his reply letters can be picked up at the Children’s Desk through Saturday, December 23.

The Grand Island Public Library’s annual Breakfast with Santa event for kids and families is set for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 16. A light breakfast will be provided for kids 11 and under, and Santa himself will be present for photos with families. Santa arrives at 10:00, and the event ends at 12:00. Breakfast and photos are first-come, first-served. Photos from Breakfast with Santa will be posted to the library’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/gilibrary in the week following the program.

The library will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25, and Jan. 1 in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day. The Grand Island Public Library serves both residents of the City of Grand Island and Hall County. Keep up-to-date with all Library happenings online at gilibrary.org, Facebook, and Instagram.
