Section of US-6 will close for Hastings Southeast project

Weather permitting, on April 13, a section of U.S. Highway 6 (US-6) will close, from reference post 212.75 to reference post 213.10, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Work includes grading, storm sewer, concrete paving and lighting for the rebuilding and realignment of the new curve and J Street intersection. Elm Avenue and J Street are the designated detour route around this work. Work will take approximately 6-10 weeks. Drivers should expect traffic delays in the area.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
