Sodbusters Stun Moo

The Hastings Sodbusters scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth for a 7-6 win over Fremont. After giving up four runs in the top of the first, Hastings didn't take its first lead until the walk-off winner. 

Jaden Shabry singled to lead off the ninth. Cooper Harrel doubled. Christian Loera singled home Shabry and stole second. After a strikeout, Luke Caussey was intentionally walked. Weston Johnston brought home pinch runner Jett Hannaford with a fielders choice grounder. Loera scored the game winner on an error when Ryan Jarvis hit a grounder to the shortstop. 

Loera and Caussey each had two hits.  Caussey and Jackson Crain each tripled. 

Brock Cross worked a perfect top of the ninth to pick up the win. Chase Phillips kept the Sodbusters close with 3.1 innings of scoreless relief. 

Hastings makes the return trip to Fremont tonight. The Sodbusters host the Nebraska Prospects at 6:35 on Thursday.
