St Paul Defeats Doniphan Trumbull In Five

(Doniphan, NE) - The St Paul volleyball defeated the Doniphan Trumbull Cardinals on Tuesday night in five sets to advance to the Lou Platte Conference Tournament championship match. 

The Wildcats would win the first two sets 25-13 and 25-16. Doniphan Trumbull would then win sets three and four 25-19 and 25-23. St Paul would have to play the tail end of the match without starting setter Zaya Lewis, who would go down with an ankle injury. 

The Wildcats (19-9) would take the fifth set 15-10 to advance to the championship match vs Ord (11-16). The Chants defeated Centura in the first match of the night. Listen live Thursday, October 16th at 7:00 pm on 96.5 FM/Country 96 & krgi.com.
