State Patrol Arrests Inmate for Sexual Assault

April 15, 2025 (Tecumseh, Neb.) — The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) has arrested a Nebraska prison inmate for sexually assaulting another inmate.
Monday, NSP investigators arrested Jamar Allen Wells, 36, who is currently incarcerated at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution. The arrest follows an investigation into a reported sexual assault that occurred in October 2023. The assault occurred at the Reception and Treatment Center in Lincoln.
Wells was cited for first-degree sexual assault and making terroristic threats. The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services assisted in this investigation.
