Summer Concert Series Returns to Grand Island Parks


Grand Island, Neb. — The Grand Island Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the return of its annual Summer Concert Series.

Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy live music throughout the summer. The free outdoor concerts will be held from 8-9 p.m. on select Thursday evenings from June 4 through July 17 at parks across Grand Island. Performances will feature a variety of musical styles, offering family-friendly entertainment in community park settings.

Below is the 2026 Summer Concert Series schedule:

June 4 – Blue Plate Special
Grace Abbott Park | 8–9 p.m.

  *   Blue Plate Special brings American roots music to the stage with a blend of R&B, jazz-infused Americana and rock influences.

June 11 – Modern Kowboy
Buechler Park | 8–9 p.m.

  *   Modern Kowboy delivers an energetic mix of country and rock music spanning the 1950s through today, with a focus on family-friendly entertainment and audience engagement.

June 18 – Jesse Karr Band
Grace Abbott Park | 8–9 p.m.

  *   The Jesse Karr Band performs a wide variety of music designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.

June 25 – Mohanna with Red Shoes
Buechler Park | 8–9 p.m.

  *   Mohanna with Red Shoes offers a diverse selection of classic songs accompanied by stories, humor and historical insights.

July 9 – TeZZ
Stolley Park Marval Hornady Pavilion | 8–9 p.m.

  *   TeZZ features experienced musicians performing favorites from the American songbook, including pop, swing, jump blues and other timeless classics.

July 17 – Karen Lee
Buechler Park | 8–9 p.m.

  *   Karen Lee performs a mix of original music and popular country and soft rock favorites. She will be joined by longtime friend and drummer John Ross.
