Tickets for Nebraska-Kansas at Pentagon on Sale July 15
Tickets for the Nebraska women's basketball game with Kansas at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls will go on sale to the public through the Sanford Pentagon TicketMaster website on Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. (CT), game organizers announced on Monday, July 13.
The game between the Huskers and Jayhawks set for Saturday, Nov. 14, will be part of the MarketBeat Invitational, which also will feature a clash between Minnesota and Kansas State on the same day. The doubleheader ticket will gain fans entrance into both games.
The MarketBeat Invitational will include the same four teams in the fall of 2027, when the Huskers will square off with Kansas State, while Minnesota collides with Kansas. Both of those games at the Sanford Pentagon will be held on Nov. 6.
Game times and broadcast information for all games in the MarketBeat Invitational will be announced at later dates.
For Nebraska, the MarketBeat Invitational will represent its third and fourth straight seasons playing non-conference games at the Pentagon. The Cornhuskers defeated South Dakota 113-70 on Nov. 16, 2024, and topped North Dakota State 82-70 on Nov. 16, 2025.
Nebraska Head Coach Amy Williams is a South Dakota native who spent four seasons (2013-16) as the head coach at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion before taking the top job at her alma mater in 2016-17. She has guided Nebraska to six consecutive postseason appearances including three straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.
The 2026-27 Huskers will feature two-time South Dakota High School Player of the Year Ashlyn Koupal from Wagner. Koupal is one of the highest rated recruits in Nebraska women's basketball history after earning spots in the McDonald's High School All-America Game and the Jordan Brand Classic. The No. 10 high school senior in the nation by 247 Sports and No. 22 by ESPN in 2026, Koupal averaged 28.0 points, 14.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 4.0 blocks and 2.7 steals while shooting 63.8 percent from the field, including 46.4 percent from three-point range as a senior at Wagner Community High School last season. The 6-3 forward finished fifth in South Dakota girls basketball history with 2,610 points, second with 1,210 rebounds and seventh with 463 career assists.
The Big Red also returns first-team All-Big Ten point guard Britt Prince, who has led Nebraska to back-to-back NCAA Tournament bids in her first two seasons in Lincoln. One of 10 midseason candidates for the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award in 2026, Prince averaged 17.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and a team-best 4.4 assists last year.
Returning starters Amiah Hargrove (12.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg) and Logan Nissley (8.9 ppg) also return for the Huskers, along with 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year Natalie Potts, who scored 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds in her last full game as a Husker in the 2024 win over South Dakota at the Pentagon.
Allison Weidner, Kennadi Williams and Emily Fisher also return to the Huskers, while top-100 high school recruits Ava Miles (Kansas City, Mo.) and Maddi Stewart (Claremore, Okla.) join NCAA Power Conference transfers Edessa Noyan and Arek Angui on the 2026-27 Husker roster.
Nebraska's matchup with Kansas will mark the 87th all-time meeting between the Huskers and Jayhawks in school history. Nebraska's most frequent opponent, Kansas will be facing the Big Red for the seventh time since the Huskers joined the Big Ten beginning in the 2011-12 season. The two teams are 3-3 as non-conference opponents.
