TrackCats Send 14 To State In 21 Events; Girls Win C6 District, Boys 3rd
It was a windy yet successful day at the Office in Albion for the St. Paul TrackCats at the C-6 District Tournament at Boone Central. Both teams are sending 7 members each to state to compete in 21 overall events. The Girls come away with the District Title and several school records edging Runner-Up Nebraska Christian 105-99 while the Boys took 3rd Place behind Boone Central and Grand Island Central Catholic, just six points off the leader.
The Girls will be sending 7 Girls to compete in 13 events qualifying are:
100m - Piepyr Klinginsmith 2nd Place
400m - Kami Sack 1st Place*, Kyndel Sack 2nd Place
800m - Kami Sack 1st Place
100mH - Zaya Lewis 2nd Place, Kyndel Sack 6th Place
300mH - Zaya Lewis 1st Place, Kyndel Sack 3rd Place
4x100mR - St. Paul 4th Place (Zaya Lewis, Kami Sack, Piepyr Klinginsmith, Katie Oakley)
4x400mR - St. Paul 3rd Place* (Kyndel Sack, Kami Sack, Zaya Lewis, Katie Oakley)
Discus - Annie Stepanek 1st Place
High Jump - Piepyr Klinginsmith 4th Place
Pole Vault - Jillian Wells 4th Place*

State Track will take place at Burke Stadium in Omaha
Class A and B will be Wednesday and Thursday.
Class C and D will be Friday and Saturday.
