TrackCats Shine At Central Nebraska Track Championships

The Best of the Best in Central Nebraska Track and Field met up Monday for the Central Nebraska Track Championships at Grand Island Northwest High School. The St. Paul Wildcats qualified for several events throughout the day. Both teams ended the day in the Top 10 with the Girls taking home fourth place while the Boys finished eighth.

The Girls finished with eight top five finishes with one gold.

100m - Piepyr Klinginsmith 5th Place

800m - Kami Sack 2nd Place

100mH - Zaya Lewis 2nd Place

300mH - Zaya Lewis 1st Place, Kyndel Sack 5th Place

4x100m Relay - 2nd Place (Zaya Lewis, Kami Sack, Piepyr Klinginsmith, Katie Oakley)

4x400m Relay - 4th Place (Kyndel Sack, Kami Sack, Katie Oakley, Zaya Lewis

Discus - Annie Stepanek 4th Place.

The Boys had three top five finishes with two silver finishes.

800m - Eli Sladek 2nd Place

1600m - Rylan Rasmussen 2nd Place

Triple Jump - Conner Douthit 4th Place

Both Teams will be back in action Friday for the Lou Platte Conference Championship.
