Two Students Make Threat To Northwest High School
(Grand Island, NE) - Two students at Northwest High School on Thursday, December 18th, communicated threats to others that "they were going to shoot up the school." Northwest Superintendent Dr. Jeff Edwards sent out a letter via email to patrons of Northwest High School.
Northwest Families,
I wanted to inform you that we had two high school students make threats at lunch today that they were going to shoot up the school tomorrow during the pep rally. They told two students specifically and told them not to come to school.
GIPD is currently talking with the students and their parents. We will issue appropriate discipline as well. They will not be in school for the immediate future, so there is no threat tomorrow.
Dr. Jeff Edwards
