USP Falls to Hastings to end season

A great start stagnated as Grand Island U-Save Pharmacy fell to Hastings Five Points Bank 13-3 in elimination play at the A7 Area Senior Legion Tourney on Sunday. 

Grand Island scored three runs on three hits in the top of the first. However Hastings erupted for five in the second and eight in the third to put the game away. 

Emilio Romero and Josiah Gilbert each had a pair of hits for U-Save.

We're down to the final three teams. Hastings plays Kearney at 7pm Monday. The winner gets GI Home Federal for the Championship at 4pm Tuesday. All three are guaranteed state tournament berths.
