Vikings Snag 1st & 2nd At District Meet

The Northwest Boys and Seward Girls Captured team titles at the B5 District Track meet in Central City. 

The Viking district champs included Ethan Smith in the 1600 and 3200, and Zane Harb in the 800. Jayden Brandt won the High Jump. The 1600 and 3200 M Relays also captured titles.  

The Aurora boys were third. Jayden Slagle broke his own school record in the Triple Jump with a leap of 49' 6.5". Colten Nachtigal won the 110 M Hurdles. Derek Russell finished first in the discus. Peter Russell captured the Pole Vault.

The Northwest girls finished second. The 3200 M Relay finished first. Tessa Sheer led a 1-2-3 finish in the High Jump. Amarae Krafka took first in the Pole Vault.

Aurora's girls were sixth. 

The top three in each individual event and top two relays automatically qualified for state. Other athletes qualified based on their marks against other districts.
