Wet Weather Expected

Severe Weather Risk - Primarily an isolated Tornado or Two
-The risk is limited, but certainly there for an isolated, generally weaker tornado between 3-4 PM and about 10 PM
-Mostly likely areas for a isolated tornado include south of a Geneva to Alma line in Nebraska, and all of north central Kansas. We are most concerned about counties like Rooks, Osborne, Smith, Mitchell, Jewell and Thayer counties for a tornado, but the risk does extend beyond those counties.
-Visibility will be poor and challenging due to rain, lower clouds bases and lack of daylight.

Flooding:
-We anticipate several pockets of 3-5+ inch type rainfall, especially between 2 and 10 PM.
-No one can exactly where those heaviest amounts will fall, but it favors areas south of a line from York to Holdrege in Nebraska, and all of north central Kansas.
-Some very "soupy" county roads out there already, and later today/tonight/tomorrow.
-Anticipated Flash Flood and River Flood Warnings to be issued.
-Do not drive through water over the road.
