Wildcat Golfers Win Ord Invite; Crusaders Finish Third

A weather postponement from Tuesday to Wednesday didn't stop area golfers from having a good day at Dane Creek for the Ord Invite. The St. Paul Wildcats take home the Team Title for their first title of the season in convincing fashion winning the event by 21 strokes with a team score of 288. The host Chanticleers finished second with a team score of 309 while Grand Island Central Catholic takes third with a score of 313.

The Individual title came down to a three way tie between Crusader Jack Alberts and St. Paul's Beau Paro and Maddox Quinn. Tiebreaker rules gave the win to Quinn while Alberts placed second and Paro third.

The Wildcats placed all five starters in the top eight.

St. Paul will hit the links April 13th at the St. Paul Country Club vs High Plains and Central City in a triangular. GICC will tee off next at the Hastings Invite on April 16th at the Lochland Country Club.
