WIldcats take 1st set, Fall in 4 to David CIty.

St Paul Volleyball

Its a year of high expectations for the St. Paul Volleyball team as the Cats return every single player minus one due to injury. They hit the road to kick off the 2025 campaign against the David City Scouts. Last year the Scouts went 24-9 including a sweep of St. Paul last year.

Head Coach Matt Koehn-Fairbanks said he wanted to give David City a better match than last year and the Cats did just that. Paced by Senior Katie Oakley in the first set the Cats roared to a 25-18 first set victory.

The Scouts showed why they won 24 matches last year taking Set 2 25-13 and that set proved to be the difference. St. Paul fought hard in the 3rd rally from a 6 pt deficit to within 2 but couldnt finish off the Scouts as DC takes Set 3 25-21. St. Paul got off to a quick start in Set 4 but the outside hitters proved to be too much as the Scouts edge the Cats 25-18 to win the match 3-1.

The loss drops St. Paul to 0-1 on the year. They host Ord on 9/4.
