Work will begin on I-80, near Odessa

June 5, 2026 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin June 8 on Interstate 80 (I-80) near reference post 263.69, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Paul Reed Construction & Supply, Inc., of Gering, is the contractor for this project. Work includes complete removal and reconstruction of the L-10B bridge over I-80. The bridge will be built half at a time with traffic maintained by temporary traffic signals. Intermittent lane closures will be necessary on I-80 around the Odessa 263 Interchange. Anticipated completion is Feb. 2027.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
