Work Will Begin on US-30, east of Central City

June 1, 2026 (Grand Island, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin on June 8 on U.S. Highway 30 (US-30), from reference post 337.82 to reference post 346.05, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Werner Construction, Inc., of Hastings, is the contractor for this project. Work includes concrete pavement repair, asphalt milling, asphalt overlay, earth shoulder, and seeding. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers and pilot vehicle. An 11-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is Nov. 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
